Farmacid
Chemical preservative
Apraksts:
Prevents moulding, hanging, spoilage in silage, grain and other feed materials.
Should be used when there is a high risk of forage heating, moulding, spoilage.
Protects forage quality when others can’t!
Packaging: 1000 l or 215 l
Product features:
does not spoil the taste of the feed
does not cause the acidifying mass to thicken
no need to prepare a working solution
the product is ready to use
the product does not damage appliances
not dangerous to humans
does not result in a loss of dry matter from forage
directly inhibits the growth of yeasts and moulds
Your benefits:
preventing feed from heating and moulding
excellent taste and smell
high edibility and digestibility of forage
significantly lower losses in feed dry matter, energy, protein, etc.
Canned forage with Farmacid:
- grass silage
- cereal silage
- maize silage
- maize cob silage
- whole and ground cereal and maize grains
- by-products (beetroot grits, beer draff, etc.)
- hay, straw
- TMR and other compound feed
- silage surface
- et al.
Should be used when there is a high risk of forage heating, moulding, spoilage:
- when the material is wet and stored in the presence of air
- when the material is stored in an airless environment but is poorly sealed
- when the dry matter of the material to be acidified is too high for good and proper acidification to take place
- when the feed contains high levels of sugars or starch
- when biological leavening and natural acidification of the material is difficult
- when the canned material is contaminated with soil, dead or decaying plant parts, manure, etc.)
- when bacteria, yeasts and moulds have grown in the canned material
- when the grass bladder has been in the field for more than one day and there is a risk that bacteria have already built up and the grass is starting to spoil
- when the silo is filled over several days and the mass to be acidified is exposed to air and precipitation
- when the feeding rate is too slow
- if the feed is usually mouldy, hot, spoiled during storage, after opening the container or on the feed table
